The Space Coast is known a region of the Florida near the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. NASA launched manned spaceflights from 1961 (Project Mercury) through the Space Shuttle program which ended in 2011 from this location of Florida. Currently, these facilities are used for commercial space launches. Neighboring towns include; Titusville, Cocoa Beach, Merritt Island, Cocoa, Melbourne, Palm Bay and Viera comprising Brevard County, Florida.

We celebrated Christmas with family living along the Space Coast (of Florida).

Short pants and t-shirts in December. It was a far cry from the brutal New Jersey winters I’ve known for over 50 years! Laid back and casual. It was truly life in the slow lane. It was just what the Doctor ordered for this weary Baby Boomer constantly living life on the Hamster Wheel.

We got to witness a commercial space launch, Surfing Santas on Christmas Eve, Ron Jon surf shop, beach bars, idyllic beaches, orange sunrises and red sunsets.

But most importantly we got to celebrate Christmas with Family at their new place in the Sun.

It was truly the cure to the Winter Blues!

Greetings from Merritt Island, Florida

Christmas 2018

I'm back to livin' Floridays. Blue skies and ultra violet rays. Lookin' for better days, lookin' for better days. Lookin' for better days. Lookin' for Floridays.
