Cairns Gotta have that “Can do” attitude while traveling in Cairns (pronounced “Cans”). We have arrived at the passageway for the Great Barrier Reef for the next three days. Another UNESCO site as well the world’s largest coral reef system, it’s visible from outer space. Far out! Can’t wait to explore this unique ecosystem. My dry bag of 20+ years died in Bondi so it’s time to break in some new gear! Excited to hit the water and experience The Reef! #liveyourdash Enjoying kangaroo burgers and James Squire 150 Lashes beers overlooking the Kuranda Rainforest. Sorry…..No Dry January on Holiday. #thisisus3060#liveyourdash Arrived at Port Douglas. Grab your togs, sun cream, rashies, and stinger suits. Join Lauren and I aboard the Dances With Waves (boat) ~ 39 nautical miles out at sea along the Continental Shelf. The blue and aqua waters of the Great Barrier Reef are almost indescribable to we folks who summer at the Jersey Shore. Our final destination is Agincourt Ribbon Reef #3. We are so fortunate to be able to experience our 2nd UNESCO site here at Cairns. Watch out for the box jellies, mate! We celebrated our amazing snorkel experience with dinner at the Salt House followed by early Birthday drinks to celebrate Lauren birth year #31 at Howling Jays! Thanks for the memories Cairns! Next stop - The Outback! #thisisus3060#liveyourdash Great Barrier Reef, Queensland
