Enjoying Father’s Day in Annapolis! Lauren booked us a cool AirBnB houseboat for our Nautical weekend adventures. First timers we enjoyed the history, charm, waterfront, nautical vibes and CRABS for which this Maryland Capital City is known. Trip highlights included: Dinner (including shrimp and oyster shooters) at the Middleton Tavern (est. 1750), Ghost Tour, cycling the B&A Trail, sailing the Chesapeake Bay on the 74-foot Woodwind Schooner featured in the movie – Wedding Crashers, lunch at the Boatyard Bar & Grille, early morning biking the Historic & Arts District, enjoying Pussers Painkillers (drink) dockside, dinner at Reynolds Tavern (est. 1747), later enjoying famous Storm Brothers ice cream and Naptown Brown Ale (house brew) at Galway Bay Irish Pub, enjoying sunset on the water of wine and cheese on the houseboat, breakfast at Chick & Ruth’s Delly (including 9:30 am Pledge of Allegiance), painted houses of Pinkney Street, watching the Big Boats dock on Ego Alley, concluding the trip with Sunday brunch and jazz combo at the iconic Rams Head Tavern (former boarding house circa 1812). Best Father’s Day gift – Making weekend memories with my best girls. Lauren – Thanks for giving me the best Job Title ever- Dad!
