Celebrating Christmas 2021 through New Years Eve 2022 in the iconic Florida Keys; from Key Largo to Key West, 8 days before Birthday #60 (1/9/22)!
Highlights included Scott bicycle ride (self-guided) tour past places Jimmy Buffett referenced in song/lived at while in Key West, New Years Eve “Big Shoe Drop” at Bourbon Street Pub on iconic Duval Street, nightly sunsets at Mallory Square, dinners at Sun Sun @ Casa Marina, Milagro Restaurant, Pier House Resort & Spa, Louie’s Backyard (“Trying to Reason with Hurricane Season”), toured Hemingway House, Mel Fisher Museum, rum tastings at Hemmingway Distillery, snorkel/kayak/sail with Fury Adventures, enjoyed iconic bars on/near Duval Street including Green Parrot Bar (No Sniveling! My personal favorite!), Hog’s Breath, Sloppy Joe’s, Irish Kevin’s, Captain Tony’s, Sunday brunch at Blue Heaven Restaurant (JB reference), beers at The Chart Room (another legendary JB hang). Stayed at L’Habitation (Victorian and Bahamian) guest house style inn half block from Duval Street.
